Process of Kashyap’s Biofouling & Water Scale Removal System
Kashyap's Auto-BFSR system runs on an electrolysis technology and it begins by pumping water from the cooling tower into the electrolytic chamber.
Then direct current (DC) is passed between the anode and cathode to initiate electrolysis.
At the anode, water undergoes oxidation, producing oxygen and hydrogen ions, while at the cathode, water is reduced, resulting in hydrogen gas and hydroxide ions.
This process raises the pH at the cathode due to the generation of hydroxide ions.
As electrolysis continues, calcium and magnesium minerals precipitate out of the solution, and chlorine gas forms at the anode.
The generated chlorine performs as a biocide and then works to prevent biofouling and bacterial algae growth in cooling water.
Cooling towers can operate at higher TDS levels with increased concentration cycles.
Secondary reactions will take place where calcium ions combine with bicarbonate and hydroxide to form calcium carbonate.
Then, the magnesium ions react with the hydroxide to produce magnesium hydroxide.
